Who we are – what makes us
ReformKontor GmbH & Co. KG was founded in October 1954 and is a 100% subsidiary of Reformhaus eG with its headquarters in Zarrentin, Germany.
In 1995 the company found the optimal location for a new production plant in the Schaalsee Biosphere Reserve. Since 1996 there has been a warehouse, production halls and an administration building located here.
The production company ReformKontor GmbH & Co. KG, which specialises in importing, processing and packaging dried fruits, nuts, oil seeds, rice, grains and much more, purchases about 80% of the products it uses from organic producers around the world.
Innovative technologies have always been an important mainstay of the company. For example, soft fruit production has been a fixed element of the production range since 1999. State-of-the-art and best quality packaging films provide products with optimal protection thanks to their ideal barrier properties.
Health food shops in Germany and Austria and other highly reputed customers are supplied with premium products, most of which originate from organic producers, in accordance with the stringent requirements of the neuform® quality guidelines and the EU regulation on organic production along with other relevant strict quality standards. Transparent production processes and rigorous quality controls enable systematic verification of the specifications.

Looking back
Finding your way back to a healthy lifestyle—already a growing aspiration for many people by the end of the 19th century.
The consequences of industrialisation were being felt even then. Environmental stresses, hectic lifestyles and the growing food industry were already taking a toll on people’s health. This drove Carl Braun to open a ‘health centre’ in Berlin in 1887 – the first Reformhaus® opened its doors. Many other health food shops followed.
Even back then, it was clear that a healthy person needs nutritious, wholesome and varied foods to reach their full potential. A plant-based diet therefore gained increasing popularity. The holistic nutrition concept was already the reason for founding ReformKontor GmbH & Co. KG in 1954—with the goal of being a manufacturer and producer of whole foods from organic farming.
